Canada issued 27,322 invitations for CES Express Entry system

In an unprecedented move, the Govt of Canada has issued 27,332 invitations for Express Entry system on February 13, 2021. This by far is the largest of invites ever in a single go. This comes after data showed the country added just 184,370 new permanent residents in 2020 as net immigration fell due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is important to note that Candidates from the Canadian Experience Class only were eligible for this round of invitations. As per the details, If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles. Launched in January 2015, Express Entry is Canada’s flagship application management system for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class, and a portion of the Provincial Nominee Program.
