Application Process Updates

Since July 2, 2025, all applications for employment position approval under the Employer Job Offer streams must be submitted via the OINP Employer Portal. Only candidates whose employers have submitted job offers through the portal and have successfully registered an Expression of Interest (EOI) will be considered.

Upon selection, both the candidate and employer receive email notifications. Employers then submit employment position approval applications, and candidates must file their applications and fees through the OINP e-Filing Portal within specified deadlines.

What Candidates Need to Know

  • Candidates under the Foreign Worker stream required a minimum score of 42 or above.
  • Candidates under the International Student stream needed a minimum score of 63 or above.
  • Employers must submit employment position approval applications within 14 days of invitation.
  • Candidates have 17 days from the invitation date to submit their applications and payment.
  • Candidates should carefully review the eligibility requirements and document checklist before applying.
