2026 MPNP Update: ITAs for 2025 Work Permit Support Letter Holders

Manitoba Begins Issuing ITAs to 2025 Temporary Public Policy Work Permit Holders

On May 1, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) officially launched targeted Expression of Interest (EOI) draws for individuals who received Support Letters under the 2025 Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates. If you hold one of these support letters and have already obtained your work permit, you are now eligible to be invited to apply for provincial nomination.

Who Will Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)?

All individuals who were issued a Support Letter under the public policy will receive an ITA. The MPNP will begin with candidates whose Support Letters were approved between April 22 and June 30, 2025. Invitations will be sent to the email address provided in the candidates’ Support Letter applications.

If your Support Letter was approved after June 30, 2025, you will not receive an ITA in the initial round. Instead, you can continue to monitor the official MPNP website at immigratemanitoba.com for updates on the next round of ITAs. The MPNP has explicitly asked candidates not to contact them to request an ITA if the approval date is after June 30, 2025.

Key Dates and Processing Details

How the Targeted EOI Draw Works

The MPNP will conduct targeted Expression of Interest (EOI) draws specifically for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Were issued a Support Letter under the Temporary Public Policy.
  • Have successfully obtained a work permit under this public policy.

Once you receive the ITA, you can then apply for provincial nomination through the MPNP.

What to Do If You Have Questions

If you have questions about your Support Letter or ITA, the MPNP has provided a specific process. Complete a Contact Us Webform available at immigratemanitoba.com/contact/. From the drop-down list, select the option: “I am a support letter recipient under the 2024 or 2025 Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates and have questions.”

Important: Inquiries about, or requests for ITAs for candidates who were approved after June 30, 2025, will not be responded to. Please do not contact the MPNP to request an early ITA.
